General Description
The Model 5CJ-020 and Model 5CK-020 are proportional temperature controllers
with
"zero
voltage switching" that use thermocouple sensors. Output is through
a Triac rated at 5 amperes @ 120 VAC.
The 5CJ models use Type J thermocouples, while the 5CK models use the
Type K thermocouples. The type K thermocouple senses higher temperatures
(0° to 1250°C) than the type J (0° to 750°C). The unit
provides lead break protection - an open thermocouple will de-energize
the load.
The proportional bandwidth is adjustable from 2°C to 20°C.

(Units which are similar but which use On/Off
control through an SPDT relay are the models 5CJ-010
and 5CK-010. Unlike the -020 models, they do not provide lead break
protection.)

Implementation Notes
The controller is set with an on-board potentiometer. We have notes

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
